Seen a few turkeys in the neighbourhood this week; one taking-off from within the brambles next to my house, lumbering into the air like a heavily-laden cargo plane. This guy was strutting down Park Drive in his spring finery; red-necked, shiny-feathered, springtime dude.

Turkeys love ticks so we love turkeys at any time of year. Should have been the national bird said Ben Franklin and he was right plus the Park Service doesn't have to shut the Great South Beach down for them.
