the vine weeds I have growing in the empty lot behind my house is out of control
Get a hedgetrimmer and trim through them close to the ground. Then they die, go brown, fall down and make more good earth. If it's the nasty barbed wire stuff it does grow back but not quite as fast.... it will kill trees if not controlled, nasty stuff.
